Clarie 334 (1975 edition). Cross-Index A20. – Crowley wrote Liber Aleph in 1918 with the intention of composing a kind of missive to his “magical son and heir” Charles [Robert] Stansfeld Jones [Frater Achad]. Liber Aleph therefore contains Crowley’s entire teaching in condensed form. Crowley himself wrote about this book: “Liber Aleph, the book of wisdom or folly, was intended to reflect the heart of my teaching in its deepest and most delicate dimensions. It is the most taut and lively book I have ever written.” – An extremely scarce hardcover version. The hardcover edition was notionally limited to 93 copies with the limitation statement and copy number handwritten on the front free-endpaper. This copy does not have either, so it is presumably one of a very small number of “out-of-series” copies. – Binding minimally rubbed, minor rubbing to the extremities, inside cover with discreet dedication (Thelemic Greatings) in pencil (erasable) by Clive [Harper]. A really good copy of this very rare edition.
